SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A man accused in the hit-and-run death of a West Valley City high school student will soon be sentenced.
Today, 21-year-old Jeremy Ryan Reed pleaded guilty to automobile homicide in the death of 15-year-old Gregorio Rodriquez Junior.
Police say Rodriquez was sitting on his bike talking to friends near Hunter High School last August when Reed ran him over. Officers say he was intoxicated at the time.
Reed apparently suffers from biopolar disease, and his lawyer says he needs medication.
Reed is scheduled to be sentenced March tenth. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
