(KSL News) A Roosevelt man is accused of savagely beating his estranged wife.
Uintah County authorities say John Larett stormed his wife's Fort Duchesne home, kicked down her door and caught her with a male friend, then punched and kicked her in the head.
The woman escaped to the bathroom, but Larett found her, dragged her from the house by her hair, forced her into his car and sped away.
Officers chased Larett and eventually spiked his tires and caught him.
Larett has a criminal history, including convictions for aggravated assault.
