James Westwater moved to Spanish Fork from Ohio. His yard is covered in decorative rocks and desert plants instead of grass. When he went looking for a Sierra Club group in Utah County, well, there wasn't one, so he's out to change that. He said the planet and nature need our help.

He's now holding monthly meetings. He says, "Maybe some people view what the Sierra Club does with some disdain, you know crazy environmentalist. I don't feel that way. I think I'm trying to help the good."

Westwater says he was surprised there hasn't been a Sierra Club group in Utah County for 10 years.
