ST. GEORGE — A Kmart store was burglarized early Monday resulting in property damage and the loss of an undetermined amount of jewelry, according to St. George police.
Officers responded to a business alarm at the store, 745 S. Bluff St., around 3 a.m. to find one of windows near the main doors had been shattered. Police also found that the jewelry counter had been "ransacked."
The value of the stolen jewelry is yet to be determined. Video surveillance shows several people wearing hooded sweatshirts and gloves entering the business, police said.
The investigation of the burglary is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 435-627-4300.
