(KSL News) Utah's oldest prison inmate will leave prison in February.

The Board of Pardons and Parole decided 99-year-old Bert Jackson will be paroled Febuary 7th, to serve the rest of his sentence on home confinement.

Jackson has served three years of a possible 15-year-sentence for sexually abusing at least two children.

The parole hearing lasted nearly twice as long as it otherwise would have. Almost all the questions had to be repeated because Jackson is hard-of-hearing.

Jackson will live with his son and daughter-in-law. He may not leave home except for a doctor's visit or medical emergency.
