(KSL News) A West Valley City homeowner made a rare discovery in his front yard overnight. He found a truck in the middle of his lawn with a passed-out driver inside.
When police arrived at 2200 S. 5600 West the driver woke up and took off. Officers chased him for about five minutes, then the suspect tried to escape by driving into a field.
His car got caught in a barbed wire fence. He tried to run, but two K-9's stopped him.
Officers arrested Mike Keenan, for fleeing police, stolen property, and DUI, and he faces additional charges. Police found fake papers inside the truck so they think it might be stolen.
