(KSL News) -- Two foster parents of children from Russia were sentenced to probation today in court.
Teresa and Reed Hansen must adhere a 24-month probation. If they fulfill all obligations, they will not face additional penalties.
If they break any committments or receive additional abuse and neglect violations, they will face thousands of dollars in fines, plus jail time.
The Hansens pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment for beating and starving their children.
As part of the plea deal, the Hansens will pay 35-thousand dollars to a trust fund to benefit the children.
