(KSL News) A Springville mother found guilty of killing her four-year-old daughter will be sentenced today.

Jennete Killpack's attorneys say the mother should be able to stay out of prison. They've requested a sentence which would allow her to be home with her children.

Killpack and her husband, Richard, both stood trial for their daughter's death. Richard was aquitted.

The child died after she was forced to drink a gallon of water. The parents say they had been using the water punishment as a therapy technique.
