SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Hogle Zoo is celebrating its 75th anniversary by hosting a special event every month.
In January, residents can get into the zoo every Thursday for 75 cents.
The zoo is also letting anyone born in 1931 in for free on any day of the year. That's because August first, 1931 was the day Hogle Zoo officially opened. Anyone born that year will need to present a valid ID at the admission gate for the free entry.
In addition, zoo officials will honor the seven-thousand and five-hundredth visitor, 75-thousandth and the 750-thousandth visitor by giving them a zoo membership, a family membership, family plus membership and a zoo booster membership.
