A train depot which belonged to JOHNNY CASH is being returned to its original location so it can be transformed into a museum.
The HURT singer bought the soon to be demolished Amqui Station along the Louisville and Nashville Railroad tracks in Madison, Tennessee, in 1979 - and moved it a few miles to his property in Hendersonville.
Following Cash's death in 2003, the depot was purchased by Halo Properties which is now donating it to Madison council, who intend to bring it home.
NATHAN MASSEY, president of Discover Madison's board of directors, hopes the depot will return some old spirit to the town.
He says, "For many years, we had generations of the same families and everyone knew each other.
"The demographics have changed, and since then Madison has lost some of its identity." (SC/WNWA/ES)
