(KSL News) A gas leak forced the evacuation of several homes in Salt Lake County today in the vicinity of 3900 South and 1300 East.
Crews working on a utility problem under the road accidentally hit a four-inch gas pipeline, sending gas into the sewer line. The gas then seeped into the homes.
Manholes in the area were opened to vent the gas. No one was injured. The circumstances surrounding the line break are now under investigation.
