SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Temperatures in St. George are expected to reach a high of 115 degrees today.
That's just two degrees away from the state record of 117 set on July 5 in 1985.
Record high temperatures have been reported for several Utah cities and the heat is expected to continue today and tomorrow.
Brian Head reached 85 degrees yesterday, besting its old 4th of July record of 78 degrees. In Bryce Canyon yesterday the temperature reached 92 degrees -- the old record was 88.
Temperatures in Salt Lake, Weber and Davis counties are expected to be above 100 degrees in most places. Even Logan could reach the century mark today.
