SALT LAKE CITY -- Two of Utah's most well-known animal societies announced their merger Sunday during a wedding ceremony for two dogs.
The pups were married as a symbol of unity between the Best Friends Animal Society and No More Homeless Pets.
"We are coming together to combine our resources and our volunteers and just to work together and we hope that will allow us to reach our goal of no more homeless pets sooner," said Temma Martin with No More Homeless Pets.
No More Homeless Pets is now operating as a special program under the Best Friends Animal Society umbrella. However, it will still keep its name, website and location.
