(KSL News) The missing parents of a West Valley girl have been found.
Someone found four-year-old Emily Wilson yesterday afternoon and took her to police. The little girl's aunt apparently saw stories ran on the news and called Emily's mom, who was at work.
"The stepfather was supposed to be watching the child while the mother was at work. He claims that he fell asleep about 3:00 and didn't wake up until detectives knocked on his door at 10:30."
The stepfather was booked in jail on charges of child abuse and neglect. The girl is still in protective custody.
Police were trying to get through several precautions today so they could reunite mom and daughter for Christmas.
