Some years ago, my boss in Seattle announced that you only needed three things to be happy. They are; 1. Something to do, 2. Someone to love, and, 3. Something to look forward to.
I think it's true...at least, it works for me. When I told this to my wife, she particularly latched onto the something to look forward to part...to the point that we plan our next vacation before the current one is over. While we were enjoying ourselves at Bear Lake last week she wanted to plan the next trip out of town..and even said she likes having something to look forward to. She was not even diverted by a fresh Raspberry shake....
Give it a try...see what you think.
That boss also said you can tell everything you need to know about a person by his watch, and the trunk of his car. Oh well. At least I have something to do, someone to love and something to look forward to.
