(KSL News) -- Utah's three largest cities saw an increase of property crime this year. Salt Lake City, West Valley City and Provo reported more incidents during the first six months of the year, compared with the same period last year.

West Valley City had 3400 property crimes, a seven percent jump from 2004. While violent crime is up by eight percent in Provo, it actually dropped 4.6 percent in Salt Lake, with 607 violent crimes in the first half of the year.
