(KSL News) -- The Utah Supreme Court late today stopped the implementation of a bill passed by the legislature that would change the state policy for unused sick leave of public employees.

The new law bars the practice of converting unused sick leave to health coverage or a cash payout at retirement.

At the request of the Utah Public Employees Association and five unnamed individuals the court issued an injuction that stops the law from taking effect until after the supreme court his reviewed a challenge of the law.
