(KSL News) The Environmental Protection Agency is considering new ozone pollution ratings and most Utah cities currently don't meet them.
If the new limits are put in place at least eight Utah counties would face fines for higher than allowed ozone levels. The state would have to file a plan with the EPA showing how the ozone levels would be reduced and then show progress on the plan.
Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. has already formed an advisory board to study air quality improvements.
