Teheran (dpa) - Iranian national television may have broadcast the World Cup draw live but all scenes with co-presenter and German supper model Heidi Klum were censored.

Klum wore a dress with a plunging neckline which some Muslims may have considered immoral" and unfit to broadcast.

The event was shown with a delay of a few seconds which gave Iranian technicians enough time to cut Klum and her eye catching outfit from the show.

But Iran breathed a collective sigh of relief when the result of the evening was known.

Before the draw both presenters on Iranian television said they hoped the national team would get a place in Group D.

As Irans opponents in Group D - Angola, Mexico and Portugal - became known the Iranian presenters became so exited they embraced and kissed each other live on television.

The outcome of the draw means Iran has a good chance of progressing to the next round for the first time in its World Cup history.

Iran was represented at the draw in Leipzig by the head of its football association Mohammed Dadkan and its Croatian team coach Branko Ivankovic.
