CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- The case of a woman's body found on Cedar Mountain is related to a 2004 St. George burglary, but it's still unclear how the woman died, the Iron County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

The body of Kischla Shelley was found Nov. 26 in the Webster's Flat area by hikers cutting down a Christmas tree.

A vehicle and a firearm found near Shelley's body are connected to a July 2004 home burglary, Iron County Sheriff's Det. David Mitchell said in a release.

Investigators have found no evidence supporting that the death was a homicide, but they are waiting for further forensic evidence, he said. The manor and cause of death remains undetermined, Mitchell said.

Shelley, who was born in 1973, had not been seen since July 2004 and was reported missing by a sibling. Authorities have been trying to determine whether the death was a suicide or homicide.
