SANDY — An early morning fire cause between $150,000 and $200,000 damage to a Sandy home.
"The first floor collapsed into the basement for about half the house," said Sandy Fire Marshal Robert DeKorver.
Fire crews were dispatched to the home near 8300 S. 800 East just after 4:30 a.m. They arrived to find "large amounts of smoke" coming from the structure, DeKorver said.
The homeowners had just left town Thursday, he said. No one was injured. The cause of the fire was still being investigated Friday.
