(KSL News) -- For the first time, garbage trucks in Salt Lake City and County are carrying a message.

The message is: "Alcohol trashes your kid's brain." The slogan figures in a statewide campaign to eliminate underage drinking.

Garbage Trucks Join Campaign Against Underage Drinking

The campaign hopes to encourage parents to talk with their kids about the dangers of alcohol that can even lead to brain impairment and addiction in teens.
