Alex Cabrero ReportingAll the snow made getting up Parley's Canyon an adventure. Construction didn't make things any easier.

Sometimes the job has to get done, no matter what.

Nile Easton: “We can’t wait until spring, so regardless of weather, we gotta get it done, and we are.”

Road crews on the eastbound side of Parleys Canyon closed two lanes to fix potholes, but never thought snow would be a bigger problem.

Nile Easton: “This definitely can slow down the process.”

For drivers too. At times it took about 45 minutes to get up the canyon.

Joey Nichols: “This is as bad as I’ve ever seen it up here.”

Driving conditions at the top of Parley’s Summit were bad. It was near white-out conditions. Drivers could barely see in front of them. One driver got hit from behind.

Jen Damon, Park CIty Resident: “It’s awesome, I love it. However, I’m stuck over there on the side of the road.”

Even when you go slow, you can still slide.

Jen Damon: “I came up here to get my snow tires, but didn’t make it all the way.”

Those road crews will being working on the Westbound side of the freeway next week.
