SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The University of Utah is working on a new earthquake information center. It will be named for Kennecott Copper of Utah, which is donating $600,000.
The earthquake information center will be housed in a new building in the Department of Geology and Geophysics.
It will serve as the center for reports on earthquakes in Utah and parts of Idaho and Wyoming. The center should be ready by February 2009.
