OREM -- A 14-year-old Orem girl who told police she was kidnapped at knifepoint has now admitted she made it all up.

The girl ran into a business on November 23rd and claimed two men had forced her into a truck, but that she escaped. Her story fell apart yesterday, when questioned by detectives.

The girl confessed she lied to avoid getting into trouble with her parent for not going straight home after school.
