SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Convicted killer Mark Hofmann spent a third day at University Hospital Thursday due to an undisclosed ailment, the Utah Department of Corrections said.
"It's a common problem, and it's not life-threatening," said Corrections spokesman Jack Ford.
Hofmann, 50, forged and sold scores of historical documents in the 1980s, many of them dealing with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In 1985, he planted bombs that killed two people. He later said the explosions were meant to distract attention from his illegal deals.
Hofmann pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder in 1987 and is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison.
