SALT LAKE CITY - As the BYU/Utah game approaches one newlywed couple is in a bit of a pickle.
Creighton Scott is an avid Utah and fan and he attends every home game he can. His wife, Elizabeth, is just as passionate about her Cougars and tries not to miss a game.
The couple says it's nearly impossible to find the two of them together on game day.
"We sort of kiss each other goodbye in the morning," Elizabeth Scott said. "And go to our own games."
Liz is a lifelong Cougar, so is her entire family. Her father played for the BYU basketball team in the 50's and she even grew up next to BYU legend LaVell Edwards.
Elizabeth, all of her brothers and brother's wives graduated from the Y.
Her husband on the other hand graduated from the U and so did all of his siblings.
"The first thing Liz told me after I told her I loved and wanted to marry her was you have to be prepared for your kids to go to BYU," said Creighton.
Liz did go to the Utah Notre Dame game with her in-laws, but couldn't bring herself to wear red.
"I just, the way I grew up I just couldn't wear supporting colors or cheer actively for them," said Liz. "But I can be civil about it, how about that?"
On Saturday the couple's going to go through their regular routine, Creighton as Rice-Eccles and Liz in Provo, watching the game with her family.
"It's the only thing we've ever fought on," said Creighton. "So if it's the only thing we fight about, we've got a pretty good marriage."
