LEHI -- A Utah woman's weight loss story is now inspiring others through a popular fitness magazine.

Sandrelle Aguirre says she's struggled with her weight since high school and said she'd finally had enough.

"I was tired of feeling bad," Aguirre said. "Looking bad, holding myself back."

Aguirre converted her basement into a personal gym and started hitting the weights and eating better. When she lost over 70 pounds she sent her story to "SHAPE", a fitness magazine for women, and they published it.

"I was excited," Aguirre said. "I've been a reader over 20 years, and to finally be one of the people to inspire other people to lose weight and change their life, it's amazing."

Aguirre says she's confident her story will inspire others to make the same changes she did.

"People can relate to where I've been. It's not like I was thin all my life and just gained a little bit of weight and took it off," she said.

Aguirre has kept the weight off over two years, and she says it's never coming back.
