They say 72-year-old Jean Baptiste Soule was seen leaving his home in Rock Springs at 8 a.m. Saturday, walking towards White Mountain for a daily walk. Police were notified when he did not return home by 5:30 p.m.

Crews from multiple agencies used doges to search for him on Saturday and Sunday. The search was called off Sunday at 6 p.m. due to high winds and snow.

One Rock Springs resident told police they saw Soule five blocks from his home on Saturday evening. However an extensive search of the area yielded no leads.

Soule is known to walk up to 30 miles a day. Until recently he has been in excellent health. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter coat with red or red plaid vertical stripes on the front, gray or blue pants, and a black beret.

Anyone who saw him Saturday or since is asked to call the Rock Springs Police Department at 307-352-1575.
