SANDY -- About 2,500 homes in Sandy were without power Saturday night because of storm-related outages.

Rocky Mountain Power spokeswoman Margaret Oler said about 200 customers in areas of Holladay and Cottonwood Heights also experienced power outages Saturday.

"Crews are working to get everyone's power restored as quickly as possible," Oler said about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

A downed power line affected service in Cottonwood Heights. The reasons for the other outages weren't immediately available.
