(KSL News) -- It's not just officers who want drivers to slow down on the icy roads, one Salt Lake homeowner is also warning drivers to be cautious after a car slammed into her porch.

The resident who lives here says they were upstairs watching TV when they heard a big boom and people started screaming. So Marie Taylor ran outside to help.

Marie Taylor, Homeowner: "The people were getting out of the car and screaming, ‘call 911,’ having trouble breathing because the airbags had deployed."

Everyone made it out okay and it's a good thing because a few minutes later the car started on fire. Someone quickly threw snow on it to put it out.

Taylor estimates it will cost about 10-thousand dollars for a new front porch.
