(KSL News) A Salt Lake man convicted of child pornography crimes has been sentenced to 17-and-a-half years in federal prison.
Gerald Wheeler, 41, was convicted of one count of production of child pornography and one count of coercion, and enticement for illegal sexual activity.
Wheeler was arrested after the father of a 13-year-old Illinois girl learned she'd been chatting with him online in 2006. Wheeler had promised the girl a modeling contract if she flew to New York and had sex with him.
