(KSL News) Murray police now think a man found dead and partially frozen near the Jordan River Parkway trail was murdered.

A worker clearing brush in the area found the body January 18.

Police say dental records and DNA identify the man as 28-year-old Steve D. Gransee Jr. from Virginia.

He died from a gunshot to the chest. Gransee had been living in the Salt Lake Valley.

Police are offering a reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
