(KSL News) Her daughter calls her the ultimate example of a great volunteer.
Shirley Mortensen has put in nearly 50,000 volunteer hours at Davis Hospital during the last 30 years. She is the president of the volunteer organization there. That service is definitely worthy of a High 5.
Shirley also crochets outfits for newborns at the hospital. She says she loves people. "Communication with so many different types of people. It's just wonderful to work with them," she told us.
