Nishi Gupta ReportingA man is in critical condition tonight after being stabbed in a bizarre home invasion Saturday evening.
The man and his girlfriend had just pulled into an apartment complex when they were approached by a suspect.
One by one they were led into an apartment where a second suspect was waiting with a gun. They were taken into a bedroom then bound with duct tape and blind-folded.
Capt. Chris Snyder, South Salt Lake Police Dept.: "The female could hear suspects ransacking the apartment, possibly taking property. After she was sure they left, she called 911."
When police arrived they found the boyfriend had been stabbed twice in the chest. He was taken to an area hospital.
No word on the suspects. Police say they left the scene in a green 1995 Ford Aspire, Utah plate 600-MLD.
