SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Senator Orrin Hatch is facing some competition for his job -- and it's from someone in his own family.

A distant cousin of Hatch will run for his seat in the U-S Senate.

The Green Party of Utah has named 51-year-old Julian Hatch as its Senate candidate.

Hatch is a disabled veteran who opposes the war in Iraq and promises to conserve public lands in the West.

Hatch is also facing some other challengers. They are Democrat Pete Ashdown and Personal Choice candidate Roger I. Price.
