(KSL News) -- Sony-BMG Music is recalling and replacing C-D's containing anti-piracy software.

The software secretly loads itself onto computers when the discs are played.

The software not only prevents listeners from making copies, but also leaves computers vulnerable to hackers, and computer spyware.

Victoria Case, Computer Associates: "They really didn't understand what they were doing."

Brian Cooley-CNET.com : "This one is really bad on so many levels. It is insulting and it is also ineffective."

The anti -piracy software cannot be removed without Sony's help.

Sony has issued an apology for the problem and says its working on a way to help customers remove it.
