SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Authorities have reopened public access to a Salt Lake City creek that was fouled by a spill of 33,000 gallons of crude oil.
The Salt Lake Valley Health Department said it rescinded the order on Tuesday.
Officials are asking people to avoid stepping on the banks of Red Butte Creek until vegetation takes hold again.
The order banned public access June 15 after oil spilled from a hole in a Chevron pipeline into the creek.
