(KSL News) A firey semi crash shut down US 6 south of Price.
Around 1:00 this morning two semi-trucks collided head-on about 20 miles north the of I-70 junction at Green River.

One truck hauled cardboard, the other wood trusses. On impact the semis exploded. 45-year old Tommy Newell and 34-year old Murray Odell were killed instantly.
Because of the highly flammable materials, the highway patrol decided to let the trucks burn out.
The road is severly damaged so crews will repave the road. North and southbound traffic is being diverted onto S-R 10. Crews hope to reopen US 6 around 5:00 tonight.
