SALT LAKE CITY -- Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney came to Salt Lake City Tuesday with an endorsement for Gov. Gary Herbert, but he also talked about his own political aspirations.
Romney took questions from the media before heading into a fundraising dinner for his political action committee, which helps elect Republicans nationwide. The former Massachusetts governor and head of Salt Lake's 2002 Winter Olympics discussed a possible second run for president in 2012.
"I do believe that's a decision my family and I will come to after the November elections," Romney said. "Right now everything in our visibility is how to get good conservatives elected at the state level and at the national level."
Romney was also asked about campaign contribution limits -- a hot topic in this year's Utah gubernatorial race. He said he does not think limits are effective. Instead, he suggests visibility and public disclosure are key.
