The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit against the Fox News Channel, charging a high-level exec with discriminating against women.
A lawyer for Fox, which is owned by Post parent News Corp., denied the charges.
The lawsuit accuses vice president of advertising promotions Joe Chillemi of giving women less desirable jobs than men and using obscene language to describe female workers' anatomy.
It seeks unspecified damages for former Fox free-lance employee Kim Weiler and other female workers.
Papers filed in Manhattan federal court charge Chillemi once said of hiring, "If it came down between a man or a woman, of course I'd pick the man. The woman would most likely get pregnant and leave."
Fox lawyer Steven Mintz said, "We fully investigated this matter and believe the charges to be baseless and we question the motivation behind the filing of this lawsuit."
