SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A letter carrier from Utah is receiving a national honor for helping save a man by performing CPR during her deliveries.
Salli Hislop has been selected as Western Regional Hero of the Year by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
The union says Hislop thought something was wrong during her Salt Lake City route when she noticed a dog barking urgently. She found a man lying on his front porch after an apparent heart attack.
Hislop performed CPR until an ambulance got there and the man was revived.
The National Association of Letter Carriers is recognizing Hislop and seven other letter carriers from throughout the country as heroes of 2010.
