WEST VALLEY CITY -- A North Salt Lake man is facing drug charges after he tried to reclaim methamphetamine he left on the counter of a store.
According to the Deseret News, a clerk at the Fanzz store at Valley Fair Mall said Rudy Enrique Villanueva, 25, was returning an item in June when he left a plastic bag on the counter. Inside was a large white ball, which police say turned out to test positive for meth.
Later that day, Villanueva returned to the store, asking about the bag. Police arrested him in the parking lot.
Villanueva was charged Wednesday with possession or use of a controlled substance, which is a second-degree felony.
