SALT LAKE CITY -- A new report shows sales of foreclosed homes rose slightly in Utah last quarter.
The RealtyTrac Q2 2010 U.S. Foreclosure Sales Report shows sales of foreclosed homes rose 2.41 percent in Utah from the first quarter of 2010, and 2.49 percent over the same 3-month period last year. That's well below the national average increase of 4.86 percent from first quarter 2010.
The report shows buyers in Utah are getting less of a discount. Nationally, buyers are saving about 26 percent with the average foreclosed home. In Utah, it's only 1.55 percent.
The average foreclosed home price in Utah is $212,831. That's about $38,000 above the national average.
