(KSL News) -- Another major construction project is taking shape in Utah County, this time in Orem.

Crews began pouring the cement foundation today for the Midtown Village. Development officials say the project will be a "mixed-use" facility with 200-thousand square feet of space for apartments, retail, and commercial use.

Construction workers got up at 4:00 this morning to begin pouring the foundation.

When it's finished the Midtown Village will be one of the largest "mixed use" properties in Utah, second only to The Gateway in Salt Lake.
