CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP/KSL News) -- Two youths reportedly set a girl's hair on fire on a school bus, police said.
"(The girl) said she was on the school bus and could smell her hair burning," Detective Sgt. Jerry Womack said. "She reached up and could feel her hair burning."
Womack said she was able to put the flame out, and she reported the incident to the bus driver. The girl was not hurt.
Womack said the bus was parked in front of Cedar Middle School when the incident allegedly took place Wednesday morning.
He said a school resource officer will conduct an investigation, and the school will take action whether or not the police file charges. KSL Newsradio reports the girl's parents do not want to file charges, and a male classmate has been suspended in connection with the incident.
