Does your company have a corporate event coming up that you would like catered? Or are you hoping to have a company barbecue or picnic before summer ends? If so, Jeff Neil would like to help.
Jeff is the owner of Apple Spice Junction in Ogden. Apple Spice is a catering and box lunch delivery business that mainly focuses on lunch. The company has a selection of 15 sandwiches and 15 salads on its menu. The two most popular sandwiches are turkey avocado and cashew chicken. Apple Spice also offers four regular soups every day — broccoli cheddar, chicken tortilla, chicken vegetable and chili — and a fifth that varies.
The catering menu ranges from a baked potato bar to prime rib and everything in between. In addition to the regular catering menu, Apple Spice also has summer, holiday and special events menus. It can also provide the food and/or cooking for company barbecues and picnics. Apple Spice is most known for its original recipe bread that is baked fresh daily.
Prior to opening Apple Spice Junction, Jeff spent many years as a grocery manager for Smith's Food and Drug. However, he found the long hours, which often included holidays and weekend nights, to be difficult and decided he was ready for something new. He discovered the Apple Spice business model, which is part of a franchise that started in Salt Lake City, and thought it provided just the opportunity he was looking for. He opened his store, the fourth in Utah, in July 2008.
Jeff sticks closely to the franchise model, which has already proven successful. He aims to keep his pricing competitive with other catering companies and does his best to take care of customers by making follow-up phone calls after every delivery or catering job to ensure customers were satisfied with the finished product. Jeff prides Apple Spice Junction on its ability to supply large groups with quality cuisine on a short turnaround.
