(KSL News) -- Identity theft is the fastest-growing crime in America and thieves are preying on teens.

A national program, sponsored by Internet and phone service provider Qwest, is trying to educate young people on how to protect their identities. They warn that the Internet is a prime spot for information to be stolen.

Young victims are valuable to thieves because they have clean credit records, and the theft may go unnoticed for years.
