AMERICAN FORK CANYON -- A woman was flown to the hospital after flipping her ATV up American Fork Canyon Sunday.
According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, the 31-year-old woman was riding with a group of people above Silver Lake around 1 p.m. when she tried to drive over a log that was blocking the trail. The ATV flipped and the woman suffered lower back injuries and a fractured hip.
Hunters in the area stepped in to help and called 911. The woman was flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for treatment. Doctors say her injuries are not life threatening.
