SALT LAKE COUNTY -- Two men are in jail for racing on Interstate 215.
A Unified Police Department captain was driving on I-215 around 8:30 Friday morning when a motorcycle and a Subaru sped past him. When he tried to pull the drivers over, the driver of the Subaru stopped, but the driver of the bike took off.
Troopers eventually caught up with the motorcyclist in Farmington when he passed a trooper at more than 100 miles per hour.
Both the biker, 21-year-old Scott Peterson, and the Subaru driver, 30-year-old John Schultz, were booked into jail on exhibition driving and fleeing police charges.
